纵横大西北[玉门关/嘉峪关]

当天早上从鸣沙山出来以后，包车的师傅把我们送到了汽车站，在几个小时戈壁滩之后，到了此行甘肃的最后一站——嘉峪关。

这里之所以把玉门关和嘉峪关写到这一起，是因为他们都属于古代的防御工事。

玉门关是前一天去魔鬼城的路上经过的，经过千年的岁月洗刷，这里仅仅剩下一个土城，大部分人熟知这个地方都是来自于王之涣那首“黄河远上白云间， 一片孤城万仞山。 羌笛何须怨杨柳， 春风不度玉门关”

门关，始置于汉武帝开通西域道路、设置河西四郡之时，因西域输入玉石时取道于此而得名。汉时为通往西域各地的门户，故址在今甘肃敦煌西北小方盘城。元鼎或元封中(公元前116一前105年)修筑酒泉至玉门间的长城，玉门关当随之设立。据《汉书·地理志》，玉门关与另一重要关隘阳关，均位于敦煌郡龙勒县境，皆为都尉治所，为重要的屯兵之地。当时中原与西域交通莫不取道两关，曾是汉代时期重要的军事关隘和丝路交通要道。

接下来就是嘉峪关了，这里已经是一个普通的旅游风景区，但是当你走在城墙之上，遥望着城外的雪山和天际线，想象着几百年前人语马嘶的情景，体会岁月流逝的感觉。

嘉峪关位于甘肃嘉峪关市向西5公里处，是明长城西端的第一重关，也是古代“丝绸之路”的交通要冲。是明代万里长城西端起点，始建于明洪武五年（公元1372年），先后经过168年时间的修建，成为万里长城沿线最为壮观的关城。嘉峪关关城1961年被国务院公布为第一批全国文物重点保护单位。1965年以关名建市。
